A fundamental text for the immigration law, in addition to the regulation, Dublin III, is the Convention Relating to the status of refugees of the United Nations, also called the Geneva Convention, signed in 1951. This convention provides in article 1 a definition of a refugee. Before you go on reading this article try to give a definition of a refugee and write it down in the comments.
